If you're heading to a show, concert or conference at the Bournemouth International Centre and want a proper meal rather than a queue at the bar, Vicolo is one of the closest options worth the short walk. We're on Albert Road, around 0.3 miles from the BIC, about 10 minutes on foot, mostly through Bournemouth's Lower Gardens.
We serve authentic Neapolitan Italian food: wood-fired-style pizza from our electric Neapolitan oven (the first of its kind in the UK), fresh pasta, and traditional recipes cooked the way they're cooked in Naples. It's a proper sit-down dinner, not a rushed pre-show snack, though we know plenty of our guests are watching the clock before curtain-up, and we're used to it.
Eating before a show at the BIC
The BIC's own bars and food stalls get busy fast once doors open, and its in-house restaurant advises booking ahead for the same reason. If you'd rather not gamble on availability, or you just want a sit-down Italian meal instead of a hot dog at the interval, book a table at Vicolo before you head over. Tell us your show time when you book and we'll pace your courses so you're not watching the clock over dessert.
We're also a good option after a show, our kitchen runs dinner service until 22:00, so there's time for a late table once the BIC empties out, if you'd rather eat afterwards than queue beforehand.
Getting here from the BIC
It's a short, mostly flat walk from the BIC up through Bournemouth's Lower Gardens to Albert Road, no need for a taxi. If you're driving, the RCP car park on The Square is a couple of minutes from our door, with Richmond Hill and Richmond Gardens multi-storey car parks nearby as alternatives. If you're parking at the BIC's own multi-storey for a show, it's an easy walk to us from there too.
